In light of the current pandemic crisis with COVID 19, Real Tonga Airlines will not be able to refund tickets but will hold tickets for a period of 12 months from the date of issue to use when ready. Please note details below.
Bookings through travel agencies or third-party websites
If your flights were booked through a travel agency (for example overseas travel agent or Palu Aviation Travel), contact them directly to make changes to your booking.
Bookings through us directly if your flight is cancelled:
Please standby and wait to hear from us before changing your booking. We’ll be contacting anyone whose flight has been impacted over the next week to let you know your options.
Customers with existing bookings on any remaining domestic flight until 31 May 2020, who no longer wish to travel, can cancel their flight and retain the value of their booking as a flight credit.
? Cancellations must be processed 1 month prior to date of travel.
? The flight credit must be redeemed by 30 September 2020 or within 12 months of the date that the original ticket was issued, whichever date is later. The change fee will be waived.
? Flight credits can be used for travel on any domestic flights, for any travel dates available at the time of redemption.
? Real Tonga will waive the change fee when customers are ready to re-book, however the customer will need to cover any fare increase in their new booking.
? If you have already made use of this offer to convert your booking to a credit that expires before 30 September 2020, it will be extended to match the above conditions.
? New flight credits may take time to process, we appreciate your patience.
Steps for cancelling your booking for a flight credit
1. Go to My Booking
2. Enter your booking reference and your last name in the relevant fields to log in.
3. Scroll down to the ‘Flights’ heading or click ‘Flight details’ on the left hand navigation to see your booking.
4. Click ‘Cancel/Voucher’ on the right hand side.
5. Select your preference – Credit voucher or refund.
6. Accept the ‘terms and conditions’.
You’ll receive a confirmation email to the email address contained in your booking once the process is complete and the flight credit is ready to redeem. This may take up to 48 hours.
If you’re flying after 31 May 2020 If you’ve booked your flights directly with us, no longer wish to travel and none of the above options apply to you, you can choose to change to a new date, or cancel your booking and use the value towards a future flight.
Check your fare conditions for change and cancellation information. These are available under the flight section at Manage booking. Just enter your last name and booking reference.

If you’ve booked your flights directly with us and are no longer able to travel based on travel restrictions for the countries in your itinerary, we’ll assist you to make changes to your booking, removing any change or cancellation fees.
